Mortal Touch GalleryI took these photographs around the New England region as I researched old mills and mill towns for details about the fictional town of Sheridan. Click on each small picture to see the larger version and caption. Harrisville, New Hampshire is "the only intact 19th century textile community surviving into the 20th century with its original plan and most of its buildings." The settlement dates back to 1774. Most of the town is preserved as an historical district and visitors can get free maps and literature and take a walking tour. Map It |
