The Longer the Fall Gallery

I took these photos on my research trip to Camden, Rockport and Lincolnville, Maine, in 1995. Although the town of Pepperell, Maine, is fictitious, I pinpointed its location quite precisely, and when I visited that approximate area in the "real world," I was amazed at what I found. The photos below represent what Pepperell would look like, if you could actually visit there--at least what it looks like in 1995. I think there are a lot of places in Maine that haven't changed dramatically since the 1950s, however!
